Dhaka Sangbadik Samabay Samity Limited, a cooperative organisation of journalists, held a Dua and Munajat Mahfil (prayer and supplication) on Sunday at the National Press Club Mosque seeking the swift recovery and long life of Bangladesh’s most popular leader, three-time Prime Minister, and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. 

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is undergoing treatment at the city’s Evercare Hospital. She remains under close observation at the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) of Evercare Hospital in the capital, where physicians are monitoring her condition intensively. 

She is responding to the treatment provided by the medical board, her personal physician Professor AZM Zahid Hossain said on Saturday.  It may be mentioned that in 2006, Begum Khaleda Zia allocated 21 bighas of land in Pallabi, Mirpur, for the residential housing of journalists, where a housing project is currently being implemented.

Dhaka Sangbadik Samabay Samity president Sikder Md Sadrul Hasan, also the Acting Editor of English national daily Bangladesh Post, and leaders of the housing project were present there.
