Bangladesh Breaks Guinness Record with 54-Flag Parachute Jump

Bangladesh has set a new Guinness World Record for flying the highest number of national flags simultaneously during a single parachute jump, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The record was achieved on Tuesday, December 16, 2025—Victory Day—during a special skydiving event in Dhaka, where 54 national flags were unfurled at the same time.

The World Records Management Team formally confirmed the achievement to “Team Bangladesh” on Monday.

According to the Guinness World Records website, the team created a new world record by hoisting 54 national flags simultaneously during the skydiving display, marking Bangladesh’s 54th Victory Day in a symbolic tribute to the nation’s independence.

Skydivers from different parts of the country came together under the banner of “Team Bangladesh” to accomplish the historic feat, highlighting unity, coordination, and collective determination.

Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Executive Chairman Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, who participated in the jump, welcomed the international recognition.

“Today is a proud day for the people of this country. We want to share this joy with all citizens of Bangladesh,” he said.

The record-setting team included Chowdhury Ashik Mahmud Bin Harun, Mohammad Asaduzzaman, Khandaker Jahangir Alam, Md Nannu Mia, Md Mahmudul Islam, Mohammad Shihab Sheikh, Md Arifur Rahman, Farhad Ahmed, Md Nazrul Islam, Md Kamrul Hasan, Md Shafiqul Islam, Md Ashikul Islam, Md Sirajul Haque, Mohammad Alamgir Kabir, Md Ramzan Ali, Md Manowar Hossain, Md Sharif Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Md Mahmudul Hasan, Rakibul Islam, Md Abu Sayem, Md Abu Hasan Chowdhury, Omar Faruk, Monirul Islam, Sourav Akand Russell, Md Moniruzzaman, S M Rajibul Islam, Md Nurul Hasib, Md Sazzadul Islam, Abdul Alim, Arafat Rahman, Md Humayun Kabir, Md Rubel Haque, Md Salim Ali, Md Mohsin, Md Bin Ibnul Islam, S M Elma Azam, Moinul Islam, Md Tanvir Hossain Himel, Md Sarwar Alam Khan, Milon Chandra Barman, S K Md Nasim Uddin, Md Sakim Mahmud, Md Taifur Rahman, Muhammad Russell Mahmud, Imran Al Jihad, Md Mahdi Hasan, Md Ashiqur Rahman, Md Shahjahan Ali, Alamgir Hossain, Md Zakir Mia, Rubel Minis, Md Nasir Uddin and Md Taufiqur Rahman Chakladar.

Guinness World Records said the initiative was designed to commemorate Bangladesh’s 54th Victory Day on an international platform, while bringing together skydivers from across the country to convey a message of national unity, courage, and capability.

ISPR said the achievement reflected the discipline, professionalism, and organisational strength of the armed forces and would serve as an inspiration for future generations.
