AL to celebrate its 75th founding anniversary in befitting manner

Bangladesh Awami League will celebrate its 75th founding anniversary in a befitting manner on June 23.

Party’s General Secretary Obaidul Quader told journalists after a meeting of the Awami League Central Working Committee (ALCWC) at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s official residence Ganabhaban on Tuesday night.

Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

 Obaidul Quader said the committee decided to celebrate the founding anniversary gorgeously.

Besides, issues including observance of AL President Sheikh Hasina’s homecoming day on May 17, Sheikh Kamal’s birthday, National Mourning Day on August 15 were discussed, he said.

Replying to a query, Quader said no discussion on the upazila parishad election was held in the meeting, but the situation is being observed deeply.

Actions will be taken in due time if anyone violates organizational directives, he said.
