A Dhaka court has ordered the attachment of 175 bighas of land, valued at Tk 368.25 crore, owned by businessman Mohammed Saiful Alam, also known as S Alam, and his family members.

The order was passed today by Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib, in response to a plea filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

This follows a previous court ruling on October 7, 2024, which imposed a travel ban on Mohammed Saiful Alam, his wife Farjana Pervin, and 11 other family members, prohibiting them from leaving the country.

The family members affected by the travel ban include Alam’s sons, brothers, and others closely related to the family.
