Nationwide Rain, Thunderstorms Forecast for Bangladesh

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds in parts of the country over the next 24 hours starting from 9am today (July 11).

A BMD bulletin said rain or thundershowers are likely at a few places in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places in Rangpur and Mymensingh divisions.

Moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. Day and night temperatures may rise slightly across the country.

Thursday’s highest temperature was 33°C in Dimla, Rangpur Division, while today’s lowest was 22.8°C in Tangail. The sun will set at 6:50pm today and rise at 5:19am tomorrow in Dhaka.
