CA Commends Bangladesh Women's Team on Historic SAFF Championship Victory

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus today congratulated the Bangladesh national women's football team for clinching the title of the SAFF championship in Nepal.

Bangladesh defeated hosts Nepal by 2-1 goals to retain the title.

"Great achievement of our women football team," Chief Adviser Prof Yunus said in a statement.

"I am proud of you. The whole nation is proud of you. Congratulations to all the players who brought us this glory," he said.

Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has greeted the Bangladesh women's football team for retaining the prestigious SAFF Women's Championship title, according to a press release.

The Bangladesh team is expected to return home tomorrow (Thursday) and will meet the Sports Adviser at the Bangladesh Football Federation Bhaban at 5 pm.
 
The Bangladesh Eve football team once again made the nation proud as they rewrote history by winning back-to-back SAFF women's Championship title beating Nepal by 2-1 goals in the final match held at Dasharath Rangasala Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
