Bangladesh Under-19s delivered a fine all-round display to thrash South Africa by five wickets in their fifth match of the tri-nation tournament.

Opting to bowl first on Wednesday in Harare, the young Tigers dismantled the South African batting order, thanks largely to Sanjid Mozumder’s incisive figures of 4 for 39.

South Africa were skittled out for just 147 runs in 37 overs.

Al Fahad (2-20) and Saimun Basir (2-23) bagged two wickets apiece as Iqbal Hossain Emon (1-11) and Rizan Hossan (1-25) also chipped in to round off a superb effort with the ball.

Only four South African batters reached two-digit figures, with Bandile Mbatha top-scoring with 39.

In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target in 30 overs.

Allrounder Samiun Basir guided his team home with an unbeaten 52 off 36 balls, building on an opening contribution of opener Rifat Beg (43).

Both teams have already booked their places in the final, which is scheduled for Aug 10 in the same venue.
