Bangladesh U-17 Women’s Football Team Departs for Bhutan

Defending champions Bangladesh U-17 women's football team left for Bhutan Friday morning to participate in the 7th SAFF U-17 Women's Championship, scheduled to be held in Thimphu from August 20 to 31.

The four-nation tournament will feature hosts Bhutan, Bangladesh, India and Nepal, competing in a double round-robin format, with each team facing the others twice. All matches will take place at the Changlimithang Stadium.

Bangladesh will begin their campaign against Bhutan on August 20 before facing India on August 22 and Nepal on August 24. The girls in red and green will then play Nepal again on August 27, Bhutan on August 29 and conclude the group phase against India on August 31.

The squad comprises: Yearzan Begum, Meghla Rani Roy, Tania Akter Fomi, Arpita Biswas Arpita, Fatema Akter, Umma Kulsum, Arifa Akter, Mst Almina, Mst Resme Akther, Thuinuye Marma, Sauravi Akanda Prity, Kranuching Marma, Reya, Alpi Akter, Protima Rani Joba Rani, Sorovi Rani, Mamoni Chakma, Ishita Tripura, Purnima Marma and Mst Amena Khatun.
