Journalist Abdul Mukit is no more

Journalist Abdul Mukit, 67, has died Sunday after suffering from severe kidney diseases leaving his wife and a daughter and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his death.

Hailed from Hajigonj under Chandpur district, Mukit was a member of the National Press Club and served former minister Jahan Ara  as her APS. After Namaz-e-Janaza held at the press club premises, his body was sent to his village home.

He was a very close friend of the team members of THE BANGLADESH EXPRESS and also served many newspapers in different capacities. In the 90’s movement, Mukit played vital role at dhaka university campus.

Faruk Ahmed, Editor of THE BANGLADESH EXPRESS has expressed his deep shock at the sudden death of Abdul Mukit. He prayed for  for salvation of Mukit’s soul.

In separate condolence messages, President and Secretary of the National Press Club also expressed their condolences at the death of Abdul Mukit.
