The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Cumilla has postponed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams scheduled for Thursday due to heavy rainfall and flood situation.
The exams due that day included the first paper of Physics (theory) for the science stream, first paper of Accounting for business studies, and first paper of Logic for humanities.
Board Chairman Md Shamsul Islam confirmed the decision in a notice issued on Wednesday, adding that examinations will resume on Sunday as per the original schedule.
No decision, however, has been made yet on the new date for Thursday’s exams.
Runa Nasrin, the board’s controller of examinations, told bdnews24.com: “Only the Thursday HSC exams under Cumilla board have been postponed due to floods.
“The new date for these exams will be announced later.”
